Mincov Law Corporation was a Canadian intellectual property law firm founded by Andrei Mincov, an IP lawyer with almost 20 years of Canadian and international experience.
Andrei became a copyright lawyer when his father, a famous Russian composer, heard his music on the radio advertising an event by Samsung – without his permission.
Andrei has since helped hundreds of creators and businesses. He’s done work for many composers; designers; book writers, including J.K. Rowling; film directors; singers; artists; individual software developers; movie producers; film companies ranging from small ones to Dreamworks; software companies from one-man startups to Apple, Microsoft and Sun; recording companies; electronics manufacturers, including Sony and Motorola; car companies, including Porsche and Ford; apparel companies, including Columbia Sportswear; perfumery and skincare companies, including Amway, L'Oreal and Mary Kay; and a countless number of other clients, big and small.
In 2007, Andrei moved to Canada and, driven by his passion for protecting creativity and innovation and rewarding talent and achievement, after 3 more years of law school and receiving his Canadian license to practice law and becoming a registered trademark agent, founded Mincov Law Corporation, a business law firm for clients who value intellectual property as a legal tool for protecting ideas and creativity.

In 2014, Mincov Law Corporation welcomed the addition of Anita Mar, a registered trademark agent with years of experience at several major Canadian intellectual property law firms, where she filed over 1,000 trademark applications, responded to over 2,000 office actions, participated in over 50 oppositions and over 40 cancellation proceedings. Anita prides herself on having monitored over 15,000 deadlines and not missed a single one of them!
Anita was the recipient of the Education Foundation Prize for the highest results in Canada on the Trademark Agent examination in 2008. She speaks English, Russian, French, and Hebrew.
In June of 2015, to liberate ourselves from archaic regulations that prevented us from offering trademarking services the way the market wants these services to be provided, Andrei Mincov relinquished his Canadian lawyer license. Mincov Law Corporation became Trademark Factory International Inc. and is no longer a law firm.
